Hey my loves!! I can hardly contain my excitement because this girl just survived her very first full NYFW & loved every crazy second of it! That deserves a pat on the back, am I right? Whoop Whoop! I am so excited to share and do a recap in this blog post of my NYC adventure and all the fashion I saw! I was in NYC for 9 days for fashion week, attending events & shows, doing interviews, as well as having the opportunity to walk the runway. I kept having to pinch myself because I could not believe I was living out my dream. This time last year when I started 365 Days of Summer, I made a list of goals that I aimed to achieve, one being to attend NYFW. I can check it off the bucket list and start planning for next season!! In this post I am going to take you day by day of my crazy schedule while I was there, show off my OOTDs, favorite fashion trends on & off the runway, and my personal experience walking on the runway. So if you would like to know the details on my New York trip, keep reading my first NYFW diary!

DAY 1:

As soon as I stepped off of the plane I had to immediately get ready for the NYFW Opening Gala to kick off fashion week. What a wonderful start to the week ahead! We were able to get all dressed up, walk the red carpet, and mingle! This fashionista was already in fashion heaven with the atmosphere of the gala!

DAY 2:

The second day was probably my most chill day out of the week, which I was so thankful for so I could catch up on my beauty sleep after a long day of traveling. I had the opportunity to share my blog story and brand at the Industry It Girl Blog It Up Event! It was truly an honor to speak about the background of how I got started and all 365 Days of Summer has accomplished in a years time.

DAY 3:

I was glad I had that rest day before, because Day 3 was non-stop. Day 3 was my first day of attending shows and catching a glance on what fashion to expect! I attended 3 shows that were hosted by Nolcha! I saw A  LOT of stripes, pops of color, and trendy athleisure wear hit the runway. The collections had a 90’s feel to them! I love how fashion is doing a blast from the past but giving it a modern twist.

DAY 4:

Day 4 was one for the books! I was able to see the unveiling of the Olivia Palmero x Banana Republic collaboration! I need to make more room in my closet because I LOVED the whole collection, especially the military jackets! After the unveiling I was able to meet up with the people from the new and upcoming fashion & beauty app called GLANCE! I still can’t believe that I get to be a part of the beginning of this incredible app! To sum up the app, it basically combines youtube and snapchat into one convenient platform for all of you fashionistas and beauty lovers! This is such a great app if you are a blogger/influencer and it will be officially launching very soon!! After a wonderful meeting with GLANCE I got to attend the EPIC Philipp Plein show! This show was EVERYTHING! It was a concert, fashion show, and constant entertainment! My mind was completely blown after watching it…it was that EPIC you guys!

DAY 6:

The day started with my fittings with Micheal Kulvura for the Tumbler & Tipsy show I was walking in. I was still trying to wrap my head around the fact that not only was I attending shows at NYFW, that I was also walking in one of the shows! One of the coolest experiences and a big game changer in my career. After my fittings I was off to go watch another collection of shows, but this time I was in the front row! Day 6 was probably one of my favorite days of the week and I owe it all to my outfit that day! It was inspired by the looks I was seeing on and off the runway. I wanted to combine the stripes with that pop of a bold color and it ultimately created a look that had Barbie written all over it.

DAY 7:

I spent the first half of the day working with one of my favorite photographers, Lance Andrews, to capture some epic shots around NYC. And we definitely accomplished just that! Take a look below of a few shots he took!!

Later that day I was able to attend my forever favorite show, the Sherri Hill Show! Sherri Hill never disappoints when it comes to her collections. This one was breathtaking!! A beautiful array of colors, styles, and tassels graced the runway!

DAY 8

Day 8 was the day that I got to make another dream come true! I got to walk in NYFW!!! I had the honor of walking for Micheal Kulvura in his Tumbler and Tipsy show!! Micheal is known for creating a fun runway show & collection that always makes a statement! This season his collection was themed “Troop Tipsy” with the slogan “Make S’mores Not Wars”. It was such a fun and powerful show to be a part of! The hair and makeup were fun and bold and complimented the looks and the meaning of the show so well!

DAY 9:

Day 9 I went home with a happy heart and a mind full of knowledge and ideas for next season’s NYFW.  I learned so much from this trip, not only about myself but what I can do to continue to grow my brand and business. I am so blessed that I was able to be a part of this week that celebrated art and fashion and I can not wait for 365 Days of Summer to attend more!

SS18 STREET STYLE:

I figured out that one of my favorite parts about NYFW is all the street styles! The quote “The world is your runway” was definitely in play for fashion week. Seriously, it was like watching a runway show at every street crossing! Here are a few of the street styles that caught my eye!
