Last Friday night I had the honor of attending the 1st annual EVOLUTION FASHION SHOW in Greenville, SC. I wanted to share with you guys about my experience and explain a little more about what the show was all about! It was a show of real fashion for real people. I have attended a fair amount of fashion shows and I must say that this one was very different than the ones that I have been to. EVOLUTION OF GREENVILLE was truly evolutionary when it came to the standard ideal of the fashion world. The fashion group wanted to send a strong message to the community that they didn’t discriminate: all shapes, sizes, races, and ages graced the runway. It was refreshing to see this change. Also, not only did the show deliver this strong message but they also did the show to benefit a great cause! The funds raised that evening were donated to the Susan G. Komen organization to further breast cancer awareness.

I was invited to the event as a blogger and had the best time meeting and networking with fellow bloggers from the Greenville area. I always enjoy meeting people who share the same love and passion for blogging and social media as I do!

Pictured below from left to right: me, Sammy Batts of “FigLeaf&Co.com“, Mikayla Hunt of “Popgabble.com“, Sarah Wainwright of “TheSimpleBlonde.com”, Cara Sinicropi of “MirrorsandMimosas.com“, Audrey Duncan of “TheAudreyReel.com“, and Jenna Keene of “JennaKeene.com”.

Pictured above are the bloggers featured with Noah Guthrie, a local singer who has performed on the TV Shows: Glee and America’s Got Talent. He was the entertainer during intermission. He performed 2 songs, an original one he wrote and a cover of a song he performed during his time on the TV show America’s Got Talent.

The evening was very enjoyable! I was glad I was able to sit front row alongside my fellow bloggers to witness local designers and boutiques showcase their latest trends! The local designers and boutiques that were featured were Black Tulip, Cocobella, HIP Resale, MyraMeilleure, One in a Vermillion, RockerBelles, Southern Tide, Suit City, and Vestique.

Bold colors, unique patterns, and fierce looks were making a statement on the runway!

Now we can’t forget about the #OOTN that I wore! I received many compliments on my look that evening! Funny thing, it was featured on Forever 21’s instagram earlier that day which gave me the perfect reason to wear it for the EVOLUTION OF GREENVILLE Fashion Show! It’s and head to toe look from Forever 21!

Overall it was a great evening and event! I am so glad that I can say I was a part of the inaugural show! I always love seeing the stereotype of fashion being challenged and changed and EVOLUTION OF GREENVILLE definitely did just that! Congratulations to Ashlea Sherman-Wyzard, Brandi Hines and Christina McLeod on a successful first year!! I am looking forward to returning for round 2!!!
