This past weekend I was invited to attend the first ever Greenville Fashion Week! Now, majority of the time when it’s the first time for something it doesn’t always go off as a hit. Well Greenville Fashion Week knocked it out of the park!!! I had a blast attending and being a part of all the activities this past Saturday!
The day started off with a Blogger Bruncheon!! It was quite the honor to be recognized as a blogger and have the opportunity to have lunch with other bloggers from South Carolina! We were able to sit down and enjoy a delicious meal prepared by Jianna’s, while discussing our passions and blogging content… aka Blogger Talk! It was so nice to meet other individuals who shared similar interest but also understood the struggles of the blogging/social media world! We all clicked pretty quickly which made the rest of the day even better!!!
After the bruncheon we had a couple of hours to spend exploring Greenville before getting ready for the big fashion show and party that night! All of the bloggers reunited at the pre-show cocktail party! Lots of laughs, boomerangs, and photos were taken before we made it down to our front row seats.
Southerners always have a distinct sense of style, you know what I am talking about! That preppy attire that usually is either pastel or floral print. Well I am going to be honest with y’all, that is what I was expecting to see on the runway at Greenville Fashion Week. Thank you so much Greenville for proving me wrong!! I loved the mixture of styles I saw on the runway. You saw a little bit of everything…swimwear with Miami vibes, southern class attire, sporty athletic wear, elegant gowns, to even edgy sequin suits!
My favorite show of the evening was the finale! It knocked my socks off, literally! Designer Andrew Clancey, closed out the show with his incredible collection! You guys… head-to-toe sequin suits and sequin cape coats, do I need to say more? I needed every piece in my closet! They were FABULOUS!!
The fun didn’t end when the show ended either. We were all whisked away to Up On the Roof for the VIP after party! It was so much fun to mix & mingle and to meet the designers of the night!
Greenville Fashion Week, you blew all my exceptions out of the water for your first production!! I had an absolute blast attending all events and meeting some great individuals! Can’t wait to see what is in store for #GVLFW 2019!!!
