Hey my lovely readers, sorry that I have been M.I.A…. I have been on the go for the last several weeks and haven’t had much time to just sit down and type. However I wanted to take today and do a recap on my NYFW experience and share with you guys all my looks from the week. So let’s catch up!!
This year’s NYFW was very special because I brought along the Priester clan!! It was so wonderful to spend the week in New York with my family and show them all the reasons why I love the city! I think they fell in love with it too! We decided to go in two days before fashion week started to do all the “tourist” things! Our first night we went to see The Lion King on Broadway, it was FANTASTIC by the way, and the perfect way to kick off our time in the Big Apple!
After exploring the city it was time to get down to business! Fashion week has quickly become one of my favorite weeks of the year. Yes, it’s stressful and hectic, especially when you miss your shows due to NY traffic but it’s a lot of fun!! It’s a fashion lover’s heaven! So now let’s talk outfits!! One reason why I love NYC so much is that you can dress as crazy as you want! You see anything and everything in the city! I had a lot of fun with my looks this season. So in this blog post, I am breaking down each look and sharing with you all where I found each piece!
A great travel look and even better outfit to explore the city in! I love jumpsuits because they are simple and always easy to style! Right now this jumpsuit is on sale for $30.00 on Nasty Gal!
Yes it may look like I stepped outside in my glamorous pj’s but this polka dot jumpsuit from Forever 21 was one of my favorite looks of the week! Comfortable and cute are two C’s that are perfect for fashion week! And you guys….this jumpsuit is on sale and it’s only $19.99! You can’t beat that! I paired it with these cute white booties from Miss Lola.
Embracing the concrete jungle with this wild number from Nasty Gal! I am obsessed with Cheetah Print and I am so thrilled that it is a trend this season! So when I saw this set on Nasty Gal I just had to have it!
Talk about a New Yorker look! I was going for a whole industrial feel! I have been loving the overall trends and especially the overall dress!! Another Forever 21 find! I decided to wear a black tube top underneath but I can’t wait to wear this number when it cools down so I can pair it with a turtleneck! I topped off the look with a black baker hat from Pretty Little Things and booties from Agaci!
When I am shopping I always look for unique pieces! As soon as I walked in the store, this top caught my eye! I love this whole look! I paired this navy top with a pair of silver shorts and white booties!
I shimmied and shacked in this fun and flirty Sherri Hill number for her show! I am so honored that Sherri Hill allowed me to borrow this beautiful cocktail to watch her breathtaking spring collection!
I love cheetah print so much that I wore it twice during fashion week! This top is fabulous and sheer! It had heads turning while I was walking the streets of New York! I decided to pair it with a black crop top and a black leather skirt. I added a special nyfw touch with my black baker hat and thigh high boots!
You can’t do fashion week without a little black number, am I right? This chic look is brought to you by Forever 21! Unfortunately no links for this one due to the fact that it is sold out on the website.
No one rained on my parade in my finale outfit for fashion week. I saved this fun and super bright taxi inspired look for last! This outfit could stop traffic… literally. I took simple black crop tank and paired it with these taxi yellow cargo pants and a black & white checkered jacket and topped the look off with combat boots and my black baker hat.
& that’s an outfit wrap on this season’s NYFW! This trip was one of my favorites, especially because I was able to share my experience with the people I love the most in the city that has my heart!! I am very excited to see the progression of the fashion industry this year and the development of the latest trends! This season is going to be HOT!
