Hello loves! I feel so relaxed and rejuvenated after this weekend’s getaway trip. Sometimes it’s just nice to escape and go off on a little over night trip, even if the destination is only a couple of hours away from your house. This past weekend my parents and I decided that it was a good weekend to go on a little adventure! We chose the Biltmore  as our destination and we are so glad we did! We seriously had the best time! It was actually the perfect weekend to travel to the Biltmore because it was one of their “off” weeks, s0 it wasn’t as crazy busy as it usually is. We spent the weekend exploring the grounds of the Biltmore, admiring the beautiful flowers at the conservatory, over eating, and drinking some amazing wine!

The Biltmore truly does offer so much and it’s the perfect spot for a weekend getaway! I have been to the Biltmore several times and I am fascinated each time I visit! It just amazes me that someone back in 1889 had the ability to build such a massive mansion. The Biltmore is the largest privately owned house in the United States, with 4 acres of floor space and a total of 250 rooms, 43 bathrooms, 65 fireplaces, a bowling alley, an indoor pool and more. You are able to imagine living in this palace by taking a designated tour around the house. If you love history like I do you will really enjoy it!

Waking up at the Biltmore is magical! This weekend we stayed at the Village Hotel, it is a part of the Biltmore’s newly established Antler Village and Winery, and the view from our room was breathtaking. You woke up to the prettiest view, you could see the beautiful mountains and the property! Staying at the Village Hotel this time made it very convenient to walk around the Antler Village and Winery because it’s right there. We could walk right out of the hotel to the winery in minutes. The other hotel on the property is The Inn, which sits on the top of the hill overlooking Antler Village! It’s beyond beautiful and is the definition of class and luxury.

Now a trip wouldn’t be a trip without some delicious food! The Biltmore offers a variety of restaurants that will cater to any food lover! I am a big breakfast person, so we had to have the Insta-worthy breakfast from The Inn! Guys, those were the best waffles I have ever had…they just melted in my mouth!

Walking around the property never gets old no matter how many times you visit! The architecture and structure is just majestic! We spent the majority of our days just admiring the property and taking photos. The Biltmore is picture perfect!… especially the Conservatory!

Everything is in full bloom in the Conservatory. From tulips to beautiful orchids! It’s a flower wonderland when you walk in, you are just surrounded by the most beautiful plants and flowers!

After hours of walking around the property we worked up an appetite! We noticed people getting these GIANT ice-cream deserts and instantly knew we had to have one during our trip. The former Biltmore stables have been converted into little shops, restaurants, a bake shop, and an ice-cream parlor. Such a cute area and they served the best ice-cream. Although they ran out of cherries by the time we got ours, our banana split and chocolate brownie sundae were still amazing!

We couldn’t forget about the wine! The Biltmore is known for their wines! We ended our night with a wine tasting! The Biltmore offers their complimentary wine tasting or their premium wine tasting, we decided to do both during our weekend trip. The complimentary allows you to try a sample of a selection of wines and allows you to decide which one is your favorite. It was a unanimous decision that we loved the Chenin Blanc and decided to purchase a bottle and enjoy individual glasses of it, along with a cheese tray. The perfect pairing!… and also the perfect way to end our weekend adventure!

So if you are needing to escape and are wanting to get away, I highly advise you take a trip to visit the Biltmore in Asheville, NC.  Just escape to the beautiful property and enjoy everything it has to offer, from touring the property, wine tasting, eating delicious food, fishing, skeet shooting, to even horseback and carriage rides! It is such a relaxing and enjoyable trip that will leave you in the best mindset for the upcoming week.
